A fourth-year pro with the Belleville Senators has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week.
Ben Sexton had three goals and four assists for the B-Sens last week, for a total of seven points in three games.
He had a hat-trick and an assist in a loss to Utica last Monday and assisted on all three of Belleville’s goals in a loss to Laval this past Sunday.
Until last week, Sexton had never recorded more than two points in one game, during his AHL career.
Sexton will be presented with an etched crystal award to mark the accomplishment at an upcoming B-Sens home game.
