Wednesday evening, the Golden Hawks and the City of Quinte West welcome the RCAF Golden Hawks Team for a special ceremony which will include a presentation of game jerseys to the attending members of Hawk One by Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison, followed by a puck drop.
(1959-60) Wing Commander Fern Villeneuve was to have come, however has been hospitalized. Other dignitaries expected at the event include; 8 Wing Trenton Base Commander Col. Mark Goulden, retired Lt. Col. Dan Dempsey from Victoria, British Columbia, retired Maj. Mike Woodfield from Ottawa, retired Captain Pierre Clement from Gatineau, Quebec, all Hawk One Pilots and Mr. Dave O’Malley, Team Graphic Artist and designer of the Hawk One logo from Ottawa.
This event will be co-hosted by the Golden Hawks organization and the City of Quinte West.
The game will feature the Trenton Golden Hawks and the Stouffville Spirit, 7:20 p.m. on CJBQ, presented by Need-A-Car.
