A Brighton woman has been handed a suspended sentence and one year probation after an incident at a Brighton motel last May.
Sixty-year-old Deborah Lynn Thompson was originally charged with assaulting a peace officer, possession of a dangerous weapon and being intoxicated in a public place after police responded to a disturbance at the motel.
In court last week, Thompson was sentenced on the possession of a weapon charge while the other charges were withdrawn.
