The Belleville Senators will need to have a short memory.
After falling 7-4 to the top team in the AHL, the Toronto Marlies on Friday night, they find themselves heading into another tough match-up tonight.
Head coach Kurt Kleinendorst says the score wasn’t indicative of how his team played.
The Sens found themselves down 2-0 early but before the end of the first period managed to climb back into the game with goals from Max Reinhart and Ben Sexton.

The back and forth continued in the middle frame with both teams exchanging goals before the Marlies capitalized on defensive miscues and opened up a three goal lead with the span of one minute and 54 seconds to take a 6-3 lead.
Kleinendorst then made the decision to pull Marcus Hogburg from the crease in exchange for Danny Taylor for the final period.
Tempers and frustrations took hold of both teams in the third resulting in both teams seeing players ejected.
Kleinendorst says he thinks the Blunden penalty was the catalyst for the rough stuff that took over in the frame.
Sens defenceman Ben Harpur agreed and says they played well and the score doesn’t show how well they competed.
The two other Sens goals came from Nick Paul and Tyler Randell.
The Sens are on the road tonight to take on the Utica Comets at the Adirondack Bank Center.
