There will be no change atop the Lower Trent Conservation Board of Directors this year.
Quinte West Deputy Mayor Jim Alyea will return as chair, while Centre Hastings Councillor Eric Sandford will return as vice chair, after both were acclaimed at LTC’s recent annual general meeting.
LTC also passed the 2018 budget of a little more than $1.9 million, which will be 49% funded by the seven municipalities represented on the board, to the tune of over $940,000.
That’s an increase of just under 8% compared to last year.
The rest of the money comes from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, grants, user fees and fundraising.
