The company proposing a nine turbine industrial wind farm project on the south shore of Prince Edward County is continuing to defend itself against various claims against the project.
WPD has put out its first updated “White Pines Issues and Concerns Document” since October of last year, when the company decided to list a number of issues residents, and the public had with the project and give its take and defend its point of view.
The update includes responses to various legal challenges against the project and addresses claims like “power from the project isn’t needed,” “wind is driving up the price of electricity,” and that “WPD started construction before the October 15, 2017 date that work was permitted.”
