The Forest River Group appeared in court to answer charges from the Ministry of Labour following a fatal work place accident in September of last year.
The Prince Edward County company was convicted in Picton court on Friday under the Occupational Health and Safety Act of failing to ensure the measures and procedures prescribed by the Act were carried out.
The other two charges the company was facing were withdrawn.
The MOL was called to investigate after a 27-year-old man from Napanee fell while doing work on a barn.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Forest River Group was fined $12,500.
