The federal government will fund studies and projects to improve infrastructure on the Tyendinaga Territory.
The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte will receive over $300,000 for climate change studies and others leading to the protection of the Territory’s water supply.
Member of Parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington Mike Bossio made the announcement Thursday.
Tyendinaga Mohawk Chief R. Don Maracle says assessments and planning will begin soon on how best to invest the federal funding.
