Some good news today for the Bancroft North Hastings Heritage Museum.
MP Mike Bossio has announced the museum will receive almost $43,000 in federal funding, from the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure program, to improve accessibility and rehabilitate electrical, heating and insulation infrastructure.
The total cost of that work is $85,900.
The museum, which used to be the headquarters of the Bronson-Weston Lumber Company has 10 galleries showcasing artifacts from the community’s history, including Victorian costumes, mineral collections, agricultural tools and early doctor’s and dentistry equipment.
