Eight youth tenpin bowlers from the Quinte Bowl were in Mississauga to compete at the “Ivan Nelson Memorial Tournament” over the weekend and two have earned their way to the Nationals.
Kylie Gallant and Nicholas Blagojevic won gold in their junior divisions and will join the Southern Ontario team at the Canadian Tenpin Federation Youth Nationals in Montreal in May. They will compete in team and singles events and will team up to compete in the doubles event.

Quinte Bowl’s Taylor Strickland won a bronze in the junior girls’ division.
The “Ivan Nelson Memorial” is named for the late Belleville Sports Hall of Famer. It hosts 200 of the top youth bowlers in Southern Ontario.
