Residents of Northumberland County, within the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge health unit, have the chance to vote on health initiatives the Ontario government might include in its next budget.
These include items that support healthy living, child care, seniors, small businesses or student success.
The provincial government has launched the Ontario Budget Talks process as a chance for people to choose items they would like to see funded.
Up to $5 million in provincial funding is available for the five most popular ideas, which will be unveiled in the upcoming 2018 Ontario budget.
Health unit spokesperson Sarah Tsang says people can vote online at www.ontario.ca/budgettalk.
Voting closes this Friday at 5 p.m.
