A 47-save goaltending performance from Jonah Capriotti wasn’t enough for the Wellington Dukes in a 2-0 loss to the Newmarket Hurricanes last night.
Dukes assistant coach Derek Smith gave credit to Capriotti for his efforts, but gives credit to Newmarket’s style of play and says there’s room for improvement in all areas for his team.
The Dukes managed just 24 shots on the Newmarket net and sees their four game-winning streak come to an end.
Wellington will turn around and face the Kingston Voyageurs for the fourth time this season on home ice Friday night.
Smith explains what the game plan will be against their East Division rivals.
Puck drop is 7:30 p.m from Essroc Arena.
