More than 100 people care in The County, and they recently made a big difference to the Picton United Church Food Bank.
On Monday, 100 People Who Care PEC announced a donation of nearly $13,000 for the food bank, which supports 265 households and 584 people annually.
Food bank spokesperson Sandra Norval says this is a big win for the bank and the community.
She adds that a few staples do come from the Tri-County Warehouse in Belleville, but this will help in a big way.
Norval adds this comes at a great time, because 2017 saw an increase of about 15 percent over 2016.
