Provincial Police have identified two people killed in a Brighton house fire earlier this month and say the deaths are being investigated as homicides.
Brighton firefighters responded to an engulfed home on Harbour Street, around 7:22 a.m. on January 10th, where the home sustained significant damage and the two occupants were found dead at the scene.
Investigators say 62 year-old Louise Earle and 67 year-old Wayne Earle were killed in the blaze.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate, alongside the Criminal Investigations Branch, the Ontario Fire Marshal and the Brighton Fire Department.
Police say there is no risk to public safety and more details will be released on the case as they become available.
