Brighton council will be asked to support plans for an animal rescue and control centre at its regular meeting tonight.
The volunteer charitable organization Victory For Animals Society will make a presentation to council.
The group has rescued various domestic, farm, and wild animals in the Brighton/Quinte West area, and has provided shelter to the disabled ones as well.
Meanwhile, Brighton council will also discuss a proposed medical marijuana facility for north of Highway 401.
Council meets at 6:30 tonight in council chambers.
