Quinte West council is expected to approve the buying of a former school property in Trenton at its meeting Monday night.
College Street Public School at 20 South Street is vacant and council believes the property could be of use to the city.
If approved, council would pay the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board $400,000 for the land.
Quinte West council meets at 6:30 Monday night.
