A beloved actress has died here in the Quinte region.
According to a report from the CBC, Heather Menzies-Urich was visiting family in Carrying Place on Christmas Eve Sunday night when she died. According to her son Ryan, she was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
Menzies-Urich was best known for playing Louisa Von Trapp in the Academy Award winning-musical The Sound of Music and Jessica 6 in the short-running TV series Logan’s Run.
Heather Menzies-Urich was 68.
