The season long revolving door that is the Belleville Senators blue line swung again in both directions yesterday.
For the fourth time Ben Harpur has been recalled by Ottawa where he will join Thomas Chabot. With Patrick Sieloff and Christian Jaros on the injury list, Belleville has signed defenceman T.J. Melancon to a professional tryout agreement.
The 21 year old Ottawa native is in his first professional season recording 5 goals and and 8 assists for the Norfolk Admirals of the East Coast Hockey League. Melancon played three seasons in the QMJHL with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada where he scored 99 points (29 goals) in 200 games. His 19 goals in the 2016-17 regular season were a league high for a defenceman.
Belleville is in Rochester tomorrow night then hosts Syracuse on Friday.
