A pilot project aiming to make emergency response times faster along Highway 401 appears to be working.
According to a press release issued by Northumberland-Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi, posting distance marker signs every half a kilometre along the 401 in Northumberland has improved response times as drivers in trouble can report their locations more accurately.
More detail on the pilot projects results will be released tomorrow (Tuesday).
