A Belleville man has learned the hard way that police officers have an eye for detail.
Late yesterday morning (Sunday), a Belleville police officer spotted a parked vehicle without license plates
attached.
Later, the vehicle was spotted on the road. At that point it had license plates attached, but they didn’t belong to the vehicle being driven.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle but it sped away. A short pursuit was called off.
Police returned to the address where they had first spotted it and arrested a 43-year-old man in his backyard.
He faces charges of flight from police and dangerous driving.
