Belleville police are looking for a driver who sped away from officers early last evening in the city’s east end.
Police were called about an erratic driver at around 7 o’clock and when he was spotted he wouldn’t pull over for police and instead drove off at a high rate of speed, even crossing into oncoming lanes to avoid police.
Out of concern for public safety, police called off the pursuit quickly.
Police say the driver is a man from Kingston and a warrant is out for his arrest on several charges.
