The Quinte West Fire Department acted quickly to put out a minor fire caused by a candle Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to a house on Dundas Street West and MacLellan Avenue, where they found the candle melted to its base and producing small flames.
They put out the fire and managed to limit the damage.
Quinte West fire reminds you, especially at this time of year, to never leave candles or any other flammable objects unattended.
