Bay of Quinte Riding MP Neil Ellis recognized some of the hardest working volunteers in the Bay of Quinte Riding in Belleville today.
MP Ellis presented Canada 150 Coins to the 70 chosen volunteers at a Banquet Centre packed with the nominees and their family and friends.
Opening the ceremony, Ellis said each person had made a longtime positive impact that was felt by everyone in their community.
“Each one is different of course, but all of these people share a belief in responsibility toward others and a commitment to making a positive difference” These are our brightest role models and heroes and they are all worthy of recognition in this, Canada’s 150th anniversary.”
