The Home for Good project to build 40 affordable housing units in Belleville or Quinte West is moving along quickly, according to Hastings County officials.
Hastings County received $5 million in funding from the provincial government for the project earlier this fall.
At county council Thursday, CAO Jim Pine told county council a call for proposals has gone out.
Pine says about 11 developers have shown interest and bids close December 7.

He says the request is specific.
Pine says it is well known affordable housing is needed in the two cities.
Hastings County will make a final decision on the developer and location, at a special meeting December 19.
Pine says the 40 spaces in the building have been allocated to six agencies through a business case process and discussions that county staff had with partner agencies. The allocations are below:
v Hastings Prince Edward Addictions and Mental Health Services: 20
v Pathways to Independence: 6
v Canadian Mental Health Association: 4
v Health Links/VON: 4
v John Howard Society: 4
v Peer Support South East: 2
