The County is looking at a cost savings of $140,000 when it comes to their insurance premiums for the upcoming year.
Council approved a one year contract with BFL Canada Risk and Insurance Services Inc. during their Tuesday night council meeting.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says this isn’t the first time they’ve worked with this company, but they offered the best rates.
He says they signed on for one year as it gives them a chance to re-evaluate in a year’s time as they do have options.
The County will pay over $421,000 for insurance coverage in 2018.
