Round 2 of the Battle of Quinte went to the Wellington Dukes Friday night in a 6-3 win over the Trenton Golden Hawks
Jackson Arcan, Ben Evans and Mitchell Martan all recorded three points each for the Dukes. Teddy McGeen added two points and single points went to Mason Snell, Declan Carlile, Geoff Lawson, Andrew Rinaldi, Colin Doyle and Nelson Powers.
Mac Lewis scored twice and Sean Blimkie added his first OJHL goal for Trenton. Michael Silveri and Tiger McDonald each recorded two assists.
Jonah Capriotti earned the win in net for Wellington with 30 saves. Carson Poulin allowed six goals on 27 shots in the loss.
The Dukes are back in action Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Stouffville. Trenton is off until Monday afternoon, when they travel to Burlington for a 2 p.m. start.
Raiders overwhelm Amherstview
Led by a six-point game from Riley Steeves, the Napanee Raiders demolished the Amherstview Jets 14-4 on home ice.
Sebastian Kilcommons added five points for Napanee, while Cullen Hinds and Ryan Casselman recorded four points each.
Napanee travels to Campbellford for a 7:30 p.m. game Saturday night.
Rebels romped by Port Hope
The Campbellford Rebels suffered a 10-1 setback in Port Hope.
Kyle Deline scored the Rebels’ only goal.
Dryden Bedard played the whole game in net, stopping 26 of 36 shots.
