A project to help keep children safe while on the internet was launched at Sagonaska School in Belleville Wednesday.
The program, Project Playbook, is aimed at teaching school-aged children to be aware of the language and tactics used by predators on the internet.
Project partner Theresa Longo says it’s important for young children to understand how to structure their social media.
Longo, a professional actor, says she had been “lured by online predators” at one time but recognized the danger in time.
Longo and internet safety consultant Matt Richardson say they offer practical tips for staying safe online.
