Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison is standing behind his quote to clean up a piece of land by TMH, to build a new health hub.
This week at the AGM for OurTMH, Harrison said it would only cost $5,000 to clean the soil on the property, a far cry from the $760,000 quoted by consultants.
Harrison says he does not see any reason why the hub cannot be at the TMH site.
He says zoning is the reason for the consultants’ quote, something which can be changed.
A decision as to whether the health hub will be located at TMH or the Community Health Centre is expected next week.
