It is one thing to make Team Canada in any sport, but two different ones is a feat all its own.
That is the situation for Belleville’s Alexa Hoskin.
Hockey Canada has announced Hoskin will play for her country in the U-18 Women’s World Championship.
The Moira Secondary student is just one of three 16 year olds selected to the team (the rest are 17 or 18).
This year’s tournament is in Dmitrov Russia in January.
Hoskin is currently a member of the Kingston Ice Wolves in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League.
Hoskin is not just a hockey player, she was also a member of Canada at the U-19 Women’s World Floorball Championships, which took place in Belleville in 2015.
She was just 15 at the time.
