A project is being launched between the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Society and Central Hastings OPP.
It is called Project Lifesaver and the goal is simple, get wandering patients living with Alzheimer’s home safe and sound.
The OPP say it is designed to assist families that have have a family member living with a cognitive disability, such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism or Down Syndrome.
The client wears a small wrist bracelet with a transmitter in it.
They can then be tracked.
It is already in Quinte West, but is now going to Central Hastings.
It begins November 29th.
