Special weather statement in effect for:
Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
Cobourg – Colborne – Western Northumberland County
Strong westerly winds are forecast to develop tonight and continue into Friday morning.
A cold front will cross the region tonight and strong westerly winds gusting to 60 or 70 km/h will develop. A few gusts near 80 km/h are possible during the night and possible impacts may include damage to trees and power lines.
Wind warnings may be issued with this event.
