Brighton council will decide tonight whether or not to buy a new rescue truck for its fire department.
Staff is recommending a middle-of-the-pack tender of $338,000 from what was considered the most qualified bidder, Res Q Tech Inc.
Council had set aside $360,000 for the truck in this year’s budget.
The vehicle has a lifespan of 25 years.
Brighton council meets tonight at 6:30 at King Edward Community Centre.
