P&G employees in Belleville are huge contributors to the annual United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward but on Thursday morning, the roles were reversed.
Kathy Murphy, executive director of the United Way, says they took the opportunity to show representatives at P&G just how much their donations mean.
A banner was unveiled to plant manager Joe Folk and a number of employees with messages of thanks from some of the 40 organizations that benefit from the donations from the local manufacturer employees.
Murphy noted P&G contributions make up almost a quarter of their $2 million goal.
Folk says donating locally to campaigns like this is just the culture at P&G plants all over North America.
Dr. Jacline Nyman, president and CEO of the United Way Centraide Canada, was also in attendance to detail how the United Way is working to make it more modern, and show people in real time how and where their funds are being used.
P&G has been working with the United Way here for over 40 years.
