The dogs and cats at the Quinte Humane Society shelter will be receiving a boost from the Quinte West Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign this week.
Humane Society Executive Director Frank Rocket says the money raised will increase the agency’s capacity to take care of the animals.
Rocket says last year the campaign raised about $18,000 for a charity, and he understands it might be more than that this year.
The official announcement will be made Wednesday morning at Tim Hortons in Trenton.
