Via Rail is adding a tenth round-trip train between Toronto and Ottawa, as well as an extra weekend stop at the Trenton junction.
The schedule changes come into effect on November 5th.
The new weekday train number 54 would leave Toronto at 5:20 p.m. and arrive in Ottawa just after 10:00 p.m., with local stops in Trenton, Belleville, Napanee and Kingston along the way.
Via has also added an evening train between Toronto and Kingston on weekdays, which would leave Union Station at 7:35 p.m. and get to the Limestone City just before 10:00 p.m., with a local stop in Belleville.
The new stop in Trenton would be at at 12:07 p.m. on weekends, as part of the a route from Ottawa to Toronto .
That train will stop in Kingston, Napanee and Belleville as well.
