Belleville Police are looking for witnesses to a crash that caused a natural gas leak in the downtown early Saturday morning.
Police had pursued a car in the area of John Street, which sped away and crashed into a tree, a bike stand, and other objects on Front Street, as well as rupturing a gas line near Victoria Avenue.
Residents living in the immediate area of Front and Victoria were evacuated for an hour and a half following the incident.
