The City of Belleville has tapped a long-time employee as the new General Manager of Transportation and Operations.
Joseph Reid takes over the newly-created position on Monday, as part of the city’s realignment of the former Environmental and Operational Services Department.
Reid has worked for the city for 15 years as an Operations Supervisor and is an active member of the Association of Roads Supervisors of Ontario.
He is also a Loyalist College grad and a part-time professor there.
CAO Rick Kester says Reid brings a vast knowledge of day-to-day public works and road operations and will make the transition with the new alignment much easier.
