There has been another suspicious barn fire in our region.
Monday night at 11:00 pm, Napanee and Stone Mills fire crews arrived to find a medium sized barn up in flames on Lennox and Addington County Road 11, near Pringle Sideroad, just north of the 401.
The barn contained some equipment, but was not being used. It was destroyed in the fire.
A nearby house was not damaged, but had been vacant for some time.
Acting Fire Chief for Napanee, John Koenig, says the OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office will investigate for a cause.
There have been several suspicious abandoned barn and house fires in Greater Napanee and in Prince Edward County in recent months.
Police are asking the public for information.
