The Adopt-A-Child Keep Kids Warm Campaign has received a massive boost from the 100+ Women Who Care Quinte.
The group donated more than $11,500 at the Adopt-A-Child sorting facility, at the Belleville Police Service, today.
Belleville Detective Sergeant Ann Earle is one of the leads on the program and says the sizable donation will go a long way.
Adopt-A-Child was chosen as the beneficiary of the donation, by a group vote, after presentations from a number of different charities and organizations.
Connie Carson spoke to Quinte News at the Adopt-A-Child sorting facility, at the Belleville Police Service and says it’s overwhelming to see the program at work.
The Adopt-A-Child program is providing warm winter clothing for close to 1,100 kids across the region this year, in Belleville, Prince Edward County and Centre Hastings.
While registration has ended, donations are still being accepted.
Donations can be made by either dropping off new winter clothing, by cash, or by credit card.
Those donations can be dropped off at Quinte Broadcasting (10 South Front Street, Belleville – 613-969-5555), or by visiting the Keep Kids Warm Website, or by calling the Adopt-A-Child Hotline at 613-966-0882 ext 4100.
Pick up dates for those who have applied will be on November 6th, 7th and 8th, at the Belleville Police Service west garage door, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., or at the location where you registered.
