UPDATE @ 11:20 a.m.: Quinte West firefighters are working on clearing the scene of a blaze at a home on Old Highway 2 this morning.
Senior Fire Prevention Officer Greg King tells Quinte News crews from station two responded to the scene at 1694 Old Highway 2, around 7:30 this morning, where they found the house full of smoke and a fire in the bedroom.

King says most of the fire damage was limited to the bedroom, but the rest of the house suffered significant smoke damage and the fire is not considered suspicious.
The Electrical Safety Authority is joining in to help with an investigation into the cause.

There was a fire Wednesday morning in Quinte West.
Around 7:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to County Road 2, near Tate Road, for a house fire.
Not many details at this time, however the OPP and Quinte West fire are on scene.
