Sears Warehouse could be getting a lot busier, before it goes quiet.
Quinte News has learned the company is hiring material handlers to work in the warehouse, ahead of the national liquidation of the company.
A source to Quinte News says staff was all called in to a meeting Monday, where they were told up to 600 new temp employees would be hired.
The warehouse is also expected to go from two to three shifts, which will operate 24/7.
That has not been confirmed by company officials.
No deadline has been given for how long the company will stay open.
Belleville’s warehouse and retail outlet will close, as the company begins to liquidate inventory.
