Do you know what your cell phone is doing when you’re not on it?
Belleville Police say they received 10 accidental 911 calls in an 18-hour span.
The majority of these calls were cell phone “pocket dials.”
Accidental calls tie up phone lines and resources for real 911 emergencies.
Police ask you to make sure your cell phone screens are locked or to take some other precautions to ensure these calls don’t happen.
