The union representing faculty at Ontario’s 24 public colleges, including Loyalist, says it has set a strike deadline of next Monday to try to restart contract talks.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says it announced the strike deadline after the College Employer Council walked away from the bargaining table.
The chair of the OPSEU bargaining team says the goal is to get negotiations moving before it is too late.
But the employer council denies it walked away from the table.
