Northumberland-Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi is capping off Ontario Agriculture Week with a significant grant to the Ontario Agri-Food Venture Centre in Colborne.
The OAFVC is getting $32,400 from the Local Food Investment Fund, to buy a new liquid filling and bottling machine.
That machine will increase productivity and allow local food entrepreneurs to meet demand for various products like drinks, edible oils and other bottled products.
The OAFVC, which offers multiple services to help local food producers get products to market, is one of 19 similar projects across Ontario to benefit from $500,000 in investments from the Local Food Investment Fund.
