Belleville Police tasered an aggressive dog while trying to break up a dispute between neighbours Thursday night.
Officers were called on a neighbour dispute in the west end of the city just before 10:30 p.m., where several people were involved in a physical altercation.
They were arguing over the dog which had bitten a person earlier in the evening.
The fight resulted in one male being sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the dog was tasered after he became aggressive towards the officers and tried to bite two of them.
Animal Control and Health Unit officials have been contacted and will follow up with the dog owners as a result of this incident.
