One of Picton’s most historic venues is launching a fundraising campaign, coinciding with its 100th anniversary.
The Regent Theatre Foundation, the not-for-profit which owns and operates the theatre, is trying to raise $100,000 through its annual membership drive.
A $60 supporter-level membership, or $100 contribution gets you regular “what’s on” bulletins, as well as advanced ticket sales and a vote at the foundation’s annual general meeting, while donors of $250 or more will be recognized as Regent Theatre Patrons.
Tax reciepts are available for all contributions and you can visit the Regent Theatre Website.
Foundation Chair Marilyn Coombs says the program is critical to keeping productions going at the theatre and to keeping “the entertainment heartbeat of the County” viable for years to come.
