UPDATE @ 12:00 p.m.: Crews got the car out of the water, but traffic is still affected in the area while clean up continues.
Still no word on any charges as the investigation continues.

UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.: An environmental crew is on the scene putting a containment boom around the car.
The boom will block any contaminants that could leak from the vehicle and flow downstream.
No word on when the car will be removed.

UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.: A car that went into the Moira River near Cannifton Road last night, will be pulled out today, but it could take a while.
Crews are on scene this morning after a vehicle went into the river last night, just south of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, after a crash with another car which had pulled out of a driveway.
Belleville Fire Chief Mark MacDonald tells Quinte News reporters on scene, they’ve found the car in about 10 feet of water after it drifted, but they’ll have to take some precautions as they pull it out.
The woman driving the car and her dog were able to get out safely and swim to shore.
There is no word on any charges as the investigation into the crash continues.

No one was injured after a daring escape from a sinking car Wednesday night in Belleville.
Around 8:30 p.m., a vehicle was driving south on Cannifton Road, when another vehicle pulled out of a driveway.
The southbound car swerved, landing in the river.
Thankfully the driver and a dog were able to make it to shore before the vehicle sank.
Emergency crews will be back on scene at 197 Cannifton Road Thursday morning to pull the vehicle out of the Moira.
