The Belleville Senators dropped a 7-5 decision to split their two exhibition games in Laval. After trailing 5-1 after the second, Sens Coach Kurt Kleinendorst says it was important to win the third period.
Prior to the game the Ottawa Senators announced they were sending World Junior MVP Thomas Chabot and fellow defenceman Ben Harpur to Belleville.
With the NHL roster deadline at 5 tomorrow (Tues) afternoon there could be other changes to the Belleville lineup before the AHL season opener in Laval on Friday night.
