A 26-year old Quinte West man has been charged with possession of child pornography and other offences.
Earlier this month, members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation into allegations of luring involving a man.
On Wednesday, members of the Criminal Investigations and the Tech Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the east end of Quinte West.
As a result, Tanner Neron of Quinte West was arrested and charged with: possession of child pornography, making sexually explicit material available to a person under 16 years of age and luring a person under the age of 16 by means of telecommunications.
He was released with many conditions, including not being alone with any person under the age of 18, not possessing or accessing a device which can access the internet and not being in a park, a school, daycare, ice-rink, pool, or any other public recreation area or facility.
His court date is scheduled for October 26th.
Anyone with information which would assist in this investigation can contact D/Sgt Ian Jarvis of the Criminal Investigations Branch or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
