Several road closures are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 1 to accommodate the 14th annual County Marathon.
The rolling road closures will begin at 8 am in Wellington. All roads will re-open at 2 pm.
The following roads will be closed:
· County Road 33, Wellington to Bloomfield, 8 am-10 am.
· County Road 12, Bloomfield to Sandbanks, 8:30 am-11:30 am.
· County Road 11 and County Road 10, Sandbanks to Picton, 9:30 am-1:30 pm.
· Picton Main Street, Lake Street to Crystal Palace, 9:30 am-2 pm.
Detours will be in place for the duration of the closures. Please see the attached maps for more information.
Participants are reminded to use caution on all roadways, especially County Road 12 at Sandbanks Provincial Park, which is currently under construction. Runners will be granted access, but County Road 12 will remain closed to through traffic between County Road 18 and Lakeshore Lodge Road.
